7 Bible Verses to Include in Your Grandchild’s Valentine
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

“We love because he first loved us.”

In a world where love has been redefined, grandparents need to emphasize the source of love—God. Explain to your grandchildren how God first loved us, enabling us to love others. Without God, there would be no love at all!

Add a prayer that says, “Lord, please help my grandchild experience Your love in the most wonderful of ways, giving their heart to You, in Jesus’ name.”

For this Valentine, it might be a good idea to include the gospel message, especially for older grandchildren who can grasp what it means to follow Jesus. Keep your language simple by saying, “Did you know Jesus is the only way to heaven? God sent Him to die on a cross for the sins of the whole world. When we believe in Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we are saved from our sins and get to live with Him forever.”

Of course, be respectful of your grown kids’ beliefs, discussing your intentions to share the gospel with their children ahead of time. Pray for open doors, minds, and hearts to use Valentine’s Day as an opportunity to share God’s truth.
